Language Fundamentals, Grade 6 will give your first-graders the grade-appropriate practice they need for a broad spectrum of language skills-grammar, sentences, mechanics, usage, vocabulary and sentence editing. You'll love the test-format review pages and the sentence-editing exercises where students apply the skills to writing. Each activity page begins with an instructional rule box with examples of how the rule is applied to writing. Students are able to refer to the rule and examples while doing the activity. Each skill has several activity pages that progress in difficulty. This book includes 25 or more review pages. Reviews are presented in multiple-choice test format to provide test-prep practice. Each review covers a small subset of skills and may be used as an assessment of student skill acquisition.
